Journal #5- What is a MeneMAC student?
A MeneMAC student is someone that challenges his/herself to do bigger and better things. This student is someone that does this by being able to get out of his/her comfort zone and being willing in learning different things in media. A MeneMAC student is also someone that expresses their own creativity in the work he/she does in media. The student is someone that enables to engage in putting his/her thoughts in the work he/she does without thinking that he/she would be judged. The student should know that his/her work is their own and he/she should be able to put his/her originality and individuality to it. A MeneMAC student is someone that never gives up in all the work he/she does. MeneMAC can be really stressfull in making videos, webpages, and more. No matter how difficult work and assignments may be, a MeneMAC student shouldn't be able to give up easily because he/she is not able to hadle the heat of assignments. The student should always try their best in all that he/she does no matter what obsticals may come their way.
Journal #3-Roots and Recipes draft
I will be describing my parent's chocolate fried won tons.
During Christmas, where the family is altogether, we would make a favorite dessert that my family and I would enjoy. We would cut won ton wrappers into thick mini rectangles and fold them into a bow-looking shape, ready to take a dip in the piping hot oil in the deep fryer. Me dad would fry the won tons until it was a golden brown color. He would also continue to melt white chocolate as one other ingredient for this dessert. Once all components of the won tons and melted chocolate is ready, my family and I then drizzle that creamy, and velvety chocolate onto the won tons. At that moment, we would be able to take in the aroma of chocolate melting even more on the hot, fried won tons. We enjoy eating the won tons that are covered with little drizzles of chocolate with a great smile on our faces. For others enjoyment, we would always send out a bag of these little chocolate chips to friends and family for all to enjoy during the special holiday.
I will be interviewing me both my mom and dad for this dish on Ausust 30, 2009.
Some questions that I will ask are
-Why did you choose to make this dish with chocolate when it is usually mad with plain sugar?
-What is the whole process of making this dish?
-Is there a certain way this dish is mad?
-What are the ingredients?

Journal #1-Writing Experience and Goals
My name is Traci Sahagun. Writing is something in which I can be myself in. It has been part of my life for a very long time. I started writing when I was just starting school as a child with short and simple sentences. But as I got older and older, I have developed to write more and more sentences and paragraphs. When it came to middle school, I came to be really familiar in the art of writing. I always had to write as many essays, responses, parapgraphs, personal writings during this time. My middle school english teacher always pushed me to write and write and write and to never get tired of it. The more I was involved in the use of writing, the more I became fond of it. Gladly to say, I do like to to do writing. I mostly enjoy writing personal narratives because I get to be more myself in it by writing about me.
Although I may have some kind of experience in writing, I also have a few goals as well. The use of words in a peice of writing is important so that that writing piece can have a clearer picture of settimg, theme, plot, and more. Without a great use of words that are vivid and clear is a writing of nothing. It would be a plain old peice of writing that is boring. That is why my goal for writing is to engage in having a better use of languafe that is vivid and clear to make my writing much more meaningful.
