Parent Portfolio Reflection

Post a short reflection on your portfolio. This reflection can be the "conclusion" to your portfolio, with an invitation to your parents to reply. Their reply must include responses to following questions. You may copy paste the questions into your blog if you like.

  1. What did you like best about my portfolio and portfolio conference? What would you like to see me improve on in my portfolio?
  2. From your point of view, which of my attainments of the 4 traits of writing is of most value? Please explain why you feel it is important and what about my documentation of it impresses you.
  3. Which of the traits of writing would you like me to focus on in the coming semester?

Be sure to let them know that this post serves two purposes
  1. It is an opportunity for them to comment on your learning and
  2. It is part of my assessment of your attainment of General Learning Outcome #5, "Effective Communicator." Your sharing of the portfolio should enable your parents to reflect and respond to the three questions above.

  1. First off, I really like the background of your webpage.
I liked seeing your work that you did in school. It shows me that you are working hard in school and willing to do good in your essays with your best ability.
I enjoy your voice because your evidences show personality that is like you and who you are. It makes your writing unique and "you". It brings value to your writing, bringing some sort of interest. It is nice to read something that relates to the writer, so that you are able to understand more and relate to it more.
But I think that you could do better in your word choice because it is one other way to get another person know what you are talking about instead of repeating the same thing over again. But I know that you are doing your best.
It is so pleasing to see what you are able to do in you webpage and the essays you write. I always see you stressing out with all the work you have to do, but I see you doing your best, ending up with work that is amazing that I enjoy reading and looking at, just like your webpage portfolio.
(Now conference with Mrs.s. Get a good grade okay!)
    Love,
    Mom
